Is the SSD compatible?
Hi, do you guys know if A1398 2015 MBR SSD is compatible to the A1419 iMac 27" late 2013 ?

The problem you face here is more than the physical blade SSD's interface.
Apple also has its own custom firmware on these SSD's and some won't play even though they are the same SSD.
You might want to talk with OWC to see if their new SSD will work here. Besides they offer a larger size than Apple.
Your other option is to swap out the HD for a SSD. But you'll need the OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for Hard Drive Upgrade for 27" iMacs 2012 and Later and you'll need an adapter frame like OWC 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Adapter Bracket.
