Why can’t I hear my music through my headphone?

My phone plays music when there are no headphones attached but when I plug my headphones in no sound comes out of the headset. I tried plugging in a different headset that I know work and there is still no sound.

The issue seems to be the headphone jack. First take a flashlight and check the headphone jack. If you see any residue power off the device then lightly scrap a pin/needle against the inside. Turn it back on when you finish
