Black screen with backlight works on out-screen only in recovery mode
Hi,
I'am trying to solve a problem with a 13" MacBook Pro retina system of a friend of mine.
If I start it up it doesn't show any image, just a black screen, nothing more.
If I use HDMI output with an external monitor it doesn't show anything either.
The only way I see something is when in the recovery mode (cmd+r) and only thru the HDMI connected external monitor. Nothing can be viewed on the MacBook Pro screen.
I hadn't opened the MacBook to check things out. Instead I went to an Apple retailer, they told me it's the retina screen, but I think they are fools and is something more with memory or the graphics card.
Does anyone have a clue here? I would like to try to buy a new assembly but is expensive.
I've tried resetting the NVRAM using CMD+Option+R+P. Tried a backup, did a new OS installation, nothing worked here.
Just after the software reinstallation and relaunched through its SSD (in the recovery mode) it shows me the White Apple logo and only though the HDMI connected external display and then nothing more then a white screen and goes no where.
Thanks to anyone who could give me some suggestions!

Can you give us some background here what happened before the system failed. What the system dropped or did something spilled onto it?

@Bartosz Blimke - We've got a great mystery book here, missing the last half so how did the story end?
Sadly, the OP never gave us enough to know.
Its best to create your own question if you really want to know the ending of this great mystery! Here's the start point! Ask
