Why broken iPhone 6 lcd corner caused vertical lines on the screen?

I just saw a post about iPhone 6 lcd with damaged lcd corner in the aftermarket. It says that this damage will cause the vertical lines on the screen, why? You can see the post here:

Damaged LCD. Refurbish not done properly and/or bad quality screen.
