Front panel replacement won't close properly
I followed the directions for front panel replacement on the ifixit website. I have now taken the phone apart and put it back together 4 times. However, the screen will not sit flush when I place the front and rear panels together. A gap remains at the top left corner of the phone, raising the front panel from the rear panel. When I close the phone I start at the front top and there is no gap until I work my way down and close the remainder of the phone at the front bottom. I reinstalled the old, broken front panel and did not have the same problem...the front and rear panels rested flush with one another. I completed this exact repair last year on another iPhone 5 we have and had no problems at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is the frame bent or dented in any way? Check the plastic on the front display frame at the top while looking behind the screen. There is like 3 or more plastic clip holding thingies that may be pushed in if not closed properly. Lift these down until they sit adjacent (Well I'm kinda find this hard to explain) or look like they are in the right position.
Is the gap starting from the plastic display frame or the glass?

No, the frame isn't bent or dented. It looks square when I set it on a flat surface. I'll see if I can figure out what you're describing and try to seat it properly. Thank you!

I found the 3 plastic pieces and straightened those out. The front panel still won't seat properly, popping up in the top left corner as soon as I close the bottom front panel. If I don't push the bottom front panel in all the way, the top left corner stays seated.
