Home button click not working but touch i.d. working after repair?

i was inside my iPhone last night replacing a screwy WIFI Bluetooth and GPS antenna (i was receiving weak WiFi signals, My Bluetooth was cutting out, and finally my GPS was just throwing me in random locations while using) this all has been corrected, unfortunately my problem now is that clicking my home button in does nothing but touch i.d still works, when i boot up my phone siri or voice control pops up on its own and i can click the home button to make it go away but after that clicking it does nothing. any such as going back to home screen ..etc, suggestions?

you need to reposition your home button. very simple fix. you probably shifted when you oped the screen. its being pushed constantly. take off the heat shield only 3 screws make sure its sitting nicely and put it back on.

I will check this out later today, I should have mentioned that I also did a screen replacement a while back and the adhesive around my home button is not so sticky anymore, after being swapped to still keep touch I.d working maybe I need to get some adhesive to hold it in place?

Checked on my home button with this answer in mind indeed I found that the bracket holding the home button was incorrectly lined up I made sure it was set in correctly and now it works fine!
