Does an iPhone 6+ screen works without home button flex cable

Hi,

I replaced the screen of my iPhone 6 plus. Now the flex cable of the home button in torn and i have got an instant black screen and no response at all. I was wondering if i broken my iPhone or i just have to replace the home button flex cable on the back of the metal plate? (it did work first, but because my ear speaker wasn't working i reopened it and then i destroyed the cable for the homebutton)

No, you're phone should work just fine. Your Touch ID will never work again. But your phone should work just fine, also you can replace the button with an aftermarket one. Or you could just use assistive touch
