What should I do if the new screen/digitizer has a wider cable?

I just received a new screen/digitizer for the HTC Desire 816 but the problem is that one of the cables is wider than the original one.

How should I deal with this?

I'm afraid you probably bought the wrong screen model as your Digitizer cable is probably the wrong one. Is the Digitizer cable that is on your old screen black or yellow and what about the new LCD screen?

I know that at least the LCD cable at the bottom left of the screen assembly is the same across both models.
