If u click on a badge it should say what u have to do to get it but I have the same problem but I don't really care about them

Haha nice yeah even if I have badges Idk no how to get them put I don't even think u need them on the web btw Mayer if u click on ur name on the top right corner go on reputation then it should say badges at the bottom
If you go to https://www.ifixit.com/Badge there is a complete list of them and it tells you which ones you already have.

@mayer: for not needing any stinkin' badges you sure have a lot of them :)
@evan - Now you know why I don't need any ;-) You know 1420 Ace of Answers badges kind of fills my Boy Scouts sash up.
