What is the small soldered part on the touch/LCD assembly?

I'm replacing an LCD/Touchscreen assembly, but what is the small part with some chips that is soldered on the original LCD/Touchscreen assembly?

Do I have to transfer it to the replacement? Since it's not included.

I think is the sleep/wake sensor. But does it really necessary to be transferred?
