Why is my screen freezing?
I have used my Macbook pro since 2,5 years without a problem. However a couple of weeks ago all of a sudden, my screen had been frozen. I turned it of and tried turn on again. But I got a message saying that "my computer has not been turned off properly". Upon having this message I tried to turn on my computer by pushing shift before to allow a disk check. I failed. Later I tried "options + s" and at first it worked. However my screen continued to freeze from time to time. Sometimes "option + s" doesn't work. In such cases I need to use first "options + ctrl + p + r" and turned it of again and do check disk with "options + s". I used the disk utility to see if there is a problem in HD. According to the report there is no problem in my HD. Could you explain please what is the problem and how could I solve it. Thank you.

I had constant screen freezes and loss of battery charging. If I pressed on the screen the problems would go away for a while. I knew it was a short in the screen cables. I found that wedging a popsicle stick centered between the base of the screen and the unibody solved all my problems. It went from being so bad that I couldn't use without constant bending pressure on screen bezel to no problems for 6 months.
