The touch screen doesn´t respond to touch

I have all the updates and in device manager show me a warning and if I enter to properties tell that the device won´t work properly that I need to restart , but I restart several times and the problema continue.

Hi Cesar,

While it is possible that there is hardware damage, it is equally likely (if not more likely) that the drivers are not doing their jobs. I find this especially likely if you have an explanation point next to one of the devices in Device Manager. You didn't say but presumably you can still use the attached keyboard and external mouse if needed.

Open up Device Manager, and right-click next to the item with the exclamation point, and select "Uninstall Device". Then reboot your Surface. It may take a minute or two but after rebooting and logging back in, Windows usually finds the device and reinstalls the driver! And usually, correctly without any fiddling for finding drivers.

If this fails to provide the results we expect, forget trying to fix just this one device. Uninstall all devices under the "Human Interface Devices" folder. Drastic, I know but this often works. Again, shut down, reboot, and log back in (you may have to use an external mouse and keyboard). If you device stops working due to the drivers being uninstalled, press and hold the power button till the device shuts off and then press it again to start (you may have to press initially for 30-45 seconds to power off).

Once everything loads back up, you might have to re-calibrate the touch screen but this is a simple chore. Google "calibrate a touchscreen". No external tools required.
