Why is my vacuum spitting out dirt?

I am experiencing the same problem so I decided to take it all apart. Found that when their is a clog the dirt gets pushed past the filter and into the motor “FAN”assembly. Every time I turned it on it blew dust. After I cleaned out the motor/fan and rinsed the filter problem when away. My recommendation is to run it outside until no more dust, clean the filter or replace and keep maintaining it after every use correcting clogs as they occur. No simple answer use, clean, store.

It turned out my filter was clogged on the inside (inside the compartment where the debris collects, right in the middle of the vent passageway). I had already cleaned out the compartment but turns out inside it was still blocked in the air passageway. I carefully cleaned it out and poof! the vacuum cleaner started working beautifully again. It's always a good idea to take it apart and look for clogs anywhere.

One day, while vacuuming my living room, I noticed it started spitting debris back out. Panic set in! I turned it off, and checked the dustbin. It was full to the brim. I emptied it and then took a look at the filter. It was clogged with dust. After giving it a good clean and removing blockages in the hose, my vacuum was back to its old self, efficiently picking up dirt. Remember, a regular check-up can save a lot of hassle.
