2000 ford expedition 5.4l going through coolant like it does gas. I removed intake manifold and found this
on passenger side . Can someone explain to me how this can be new looking. Then how can I find where it was leaking

@weelee lee, the port looks new because it has been getting a constant steam cleaning from coolant leaking in that port, probable failed gasket at or around the area of that port or cracked intake manifold. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck.
