What are the original computers that had this connection type?

I have acquired one of these monitors but none of my apple computers have this connector port. It is called ADC, correct? What computers do? Glad I didn't pay much. Seems like a nice monitor but no good to me without getting an adapter I guess. Where is the cheapest place to get the adapter? Also would like to find the manual online if anyone can direct me. Thanks in advance for any help!

In reality, it's going to cost you far more than it's worth to get it running. I have one.

It not the ADC to DVI adapter that's the problem but the external power supply. This monitor got its power from the ADC connection. The supply is hard to find, expensive and looks like a mag-safe adapter but three times its size and bulky. Look at the cost of an 20" external monitor and compare costs.

You will need an ADC to DVI Adapter. They do not seam to be cheap as they are not really needed anymore.

This link shows an adapter that might help

The Apple Display Connector (ADC) is a proprietary modification of the DVI connector that combines analog and digital video signals, USB, and power all in one cable. Apple used ADC for its LCD-based Apple Cinema Displays and their final CRT displays, before deciding to use standard DVI connectors on later models.
