shut it down. then turn it back on. if that doesnt work, boot while holding down home and power and volume down. you will see a scary warning, and then hit volume up. select "reboot to bootloader".

Generally a restart should kick it back into normal but check the volume buttons aren't bent holding it down putting into safe mode when turned on.
