pto kills tractor when put in gear

replace pto switch 6 months ago and worked fine went to use tractor yesterday and when you put pto in gear it kills the engine what is the problem

Could be the button under the seat. Unless your setting on the seat or holding the seat down some way, the tractor will quit running. Found this out when I was buying the used tractor and wanted to make sure the pot worked. Hope this helps?
