Operating button has come off camera, how do you put back on?

So the operating button (button used to take photo's and check battery life) has come off camera. It is fully in tact I beleieve. The button still has the spring and there's an additional copper horse shoe shape that has also come away from the inside, have a feeling this connected electricity to the button itself. Please please, how do you attatch this all back on?! I've googled everything and read the manual through and through. ANYONE with any suggestions please come forth, would make a very happy photographer
