smd component next to battery connector

hello all,

i have a question, my iphone 6s would not connect and turn on anymore.

i have found out when connected to the charger, no voltage is meassured on the battery connector.

so i had removed the small shield next to it and found out that 2 smd components just came out.

does any one know what components these are?

Can you post a picture of the components?

these are the things that i mean.

on both of them there is a small slight visible dot.

Here is a boardview of the iPhone 6S. Can you take a look at it and tell us what components are missing?

I hate to say it, but unless you are experienced with micro-soldering, I would not recommend you try to put the parts back. That said, let's see what's missing first and then we can help you.

L2300 is integral to generating PP_VCC_MAIN (the main voltage rail in an iDevice) when the phone is plugged in. L3700 is used in the Speaker Amp circuit.

You definitely need those components to be there, especially L2300. I added an image to my answer. It's not clear to me how or when those components came off, they are quite large and do not normally just come off.

What is your comfort level with micro-soldering? You removed the shield; so is that based on skill or just "trying something"? Normally, if you were experienced enough to start removing shields, you would have access to schematics.

I don't mean to offend you, it's just that I need to understand if I should help you or direct you to an experienced micro-solderer.

at Minho, it are the L2300 and L3700 that came of when removing the shield.

Wait a minute...I just re-read your comment. Are they there with a dot or not there at all? Can you take a picture of your actual board so that we are all clear?

hey minho, thanks for the explenation.

by removing the shield i have slowly heated the shield.

the L2300 and L3700 came off after removing the shield.

i dont know if they were already loose or it was done by me.

but what i have seen is that the contacts of the components were left behind on the logicboard.

i have managed to remove the contact foots that were left on the logic board.

my skill in micro soldering is as beginner so i think the best for this operation is to let a experienced person do this right.

is there any way to get my on these components?

Get a schematic and board view for the iPhone 6S, and you will be able to find out the names of the components (using board view) and the value of the components in the schematic.
