iPad not powering after digitiser LCD screen change

iPad Air 2, replaced LCD digitiser screen due to cracked glass and all working fine before replacement. The home button was taken from old one to new one. After connection for trial the screen worked with display but could not use the home button at all. iPad message displayed that the button cannot be used and could not close any opened applications.

Disconnected and tried to fix the home button, meantime try to test and accidentally press the power button when half connected ( 2 connectors ok, but last one still loose).

iPad is not coming on or any display at all pressing any buttons and made sure battery was initially 40% and charged at least for 3 hrs.

Any suggestions guys? To fix it or to make a decision to make up the mind to repair?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and then holding down the power button for 10 seconds and then reseating the battery? You have to pry the motherboard up a little bit in the air to in order to disconnect the battery but it's no big. Also, have you tested with a different LCD?
