Disc drive sensor and IR sensor

Hello, in the process of trying to upgrade the hard drive on my 2010 version mac mini. I damaged the IR sensor and the sensor on the disc drive. Im having a difficult time time finding replacement sensors, so I was just wondering if i can operate my mini without these two sensors? If so should i expect any problems? Maybe someone knows a good place to find replacements?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the help. This disc sensor and hard drive sensors are the same ones correct? The one i damaged is the sensor on the dvd drive, not the hard drive but it seems like there the same ones?

I honestly don't know if they are the same. They may be but the only part number I can find is for the complete optical drive with the sensor. Link provided.
