Ipad will not turn on after replaced digitizer

Hey! Now I just replaced the digitizer and was finishing up when I realized I should to check that the iPad turns on. It doesn't and I have tried plugging the iPad into my macbook but it does not recognize that there is anything plugged in. Any suggestion?

I may have not turned off my iPad and so it might be dead D: if so is there anyway that I can fix it?\

Hold down power and home button until the iPad comes on, if it doesn't come on after about 20 seconds, try leaning it on charge for a good while.

Did you unplug the battery when doing this? If you did, did you use a metal or plastic spudger

Cameron, I may have not unplugged the battery.

If you didnt, you probably shorted something in which case your iPads done. Try putting the old digitizer in and see if it works

I would go back through this guide and double check all my steps. The only thing I would do differently from the guide is to disconnect/isolate the battery just before Step 30. To isolate the battery, you will need to buy or make a Battery Isolation Pick.

iPads are much harder to self-repair than phones because there are a lot of things that can go wrong. Torn flexes, damaged LCD's, poor quality digitizers, adhesives...

If you did damage the logic board, your device is not lost; you need to find repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs. iPad 4's are still pretty relevant and worth fixing.

I have a feeling that I never correctly reinstalled the iPad button and so I will do another round of attempts. Thanks so much for the help, I will definitely follow your pointers.

Take your time when you take off the glass, when you are in a hurry it will probably crack. Use enough heat.

This happened to me also I think it's because I forgot to turn it off when I replaced the screen.

When I restarted it everything was working fine again.
