How do I make my lock screen automatically show the pattern lock?

I just set up my galaxy s7 with all my preferred customizations except for the lock screen. I chose the pattern lock but I don't like having to slide up to actually see the lock pattern when I click my phone back on. I want it to show automatically when I attempt to turn my phone on like it did with my galaxy s5. I've tried searching through the display/ lock screen settings options but I don't know if it's possible.
