iPad works with charger, says to connect to itunes but USB not working

Basically, it works with the charger, I put it into recovery mode, and it says connect to itunes. I plug into my computer and it doesn't turn my iPad on. Any help would be great :)

It's stuck in a boot loop. Basically it flashes the apple logo when plugged into the charger. As soon as I unplug the charger from the wall outlet, it turns off. When I plug it into the computer to turn it back on nothing works.

if you turn it to recovery mode (Plug into itunes screen) then it won't turn off of recovery mode when you plug it in. what is the purpose of turning it into recoverymode? what is your endgame for putting it there.

It's stuck in a boot loop. Basically it flashes the apple logo when plugged into the charger. As soon as I unplug the charger from the wall outlet, it turns off. When I plug it into the computer to turn it back on nothing works.

Most likely a battery with the failures explained in the comment of your OP.

the wall charger gives it 2.1A @ 5.1V, which is enough amperage to run the device bootrom, but the device doesn't have anywhere to put the charge, so it just resets

where as USB supplies 0.75A@5V, which is not enough to process the bootrom of an Ipad.

this is hypothetical, and i can not guarantee that replacing the battery will fix your issue, without manually running a physical diagnosis on it, but it is a good place to start.

My USB ports on my computer give out 100ma at 5v. Could I somehow boost the MA or is that not possible.

unfortunately not safely. you could potentially install a custom bios to your device, which would allow for amperage clocking, or shorting the wires from your case USB to your LED port. however, the ports are designed to put out the amount they do, in order to transfer data, not to power devices. you could end up frying anything you put in there.

I would suggest against that personally.

Ok. My dad's work has a ton of old ipad's so i'll ask him for a broken one :)
