My Blu Ray drive only reads blu rays sometimes, DVDs all of the time.

This is the laptop I have. I've had it for a while, I think nearly 2 years at this point but I have only just now started watching blu ray movies with it. However, they are not always being read properly. DVDs are fine and are recognized as they should be and play properly but I have to battle to be able to play blu rays. I have to turn the computer off and on again, keep inserting and reinserting the blu ray disc and hope that one of these things work. I can hear (and feel, for that matter) the disc spinning around as the tray is trying to read it, but that's it. It's not even recognized, my drive won't change from it's default name, BD-ROM Drive (E:). I managed to get a move working the other night but just trying random stuff until it worked, but now it's not at all.

I'm fairly sure this is a problem with the drive. Is there anything I can do to maybe diagnose the problem or even fix it? Thanks.
