Screw Type for Braun Juicer 4161

My 10-15 years old little juice extractor has a problem and i want to open it up to see what i can do. It has 2 very peculiar screw heads. Does anybody know what they are called?

It start off with a full pentagon and then from each corner there's a full triangle going out.

You may have to find a Braun Multiquick-3 MPZ9 Tamper Proof Screwdriver. It's not easy.

Do you know where I could find this driver other than Braun who want £31 (I think that's about $41) . As I only have the one Braun appliance (4184 Blender) the cost of the driver is going to be more than just buying a replacement (which I suppose is the idea!).

Now you know why i said it was not easy to find ;-)

Hello Mayer, the problem is its easy to find from Braun if you want to pay £31, after an extensive search I was still not able to find anything suitable, however, I noticed two holes under the bottom cover and under the motor fan, I found that by sticking two small screwdrivers in there I could sort of lock the motor shaft, but I still couldn't release the old coupling nut as it was so tight, I then had a light bulb moment, and tried undoing the nut using my 10V impact driver, and bingo, it came undone with no effort at all, so now sorted no thanks to Braun!

Gordon, congratulations. I would never have though of using an impact wrench on a small appliance ;-)

No, not my usual modus operandi but, needs be and desperation

@zamolxe , it is some kind of 5 Node security screw/ 5 lobe pin screw, you may get it to turn out with needle nose pliers or small side cutters(wire cutters)using as pliers. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Thank you Zamolxe, the problem is that the screws are set deep inside a hole which is only slightlly larger than the screw head, the screw head has 5 slots similar to the slot of a cross head screw (as shown in the original picture), and they are too narrow to use any of the lobe type torx drivers. however I have managed to remove the nut from the motor coupling by locking the motor and using an impact driver (I wish I had tried that first of all). Thank you for your helpful suggestion.
