I spilled water on my MacBook Pro and now it boots up by itself.

So what happened was I spilled water on my MacBook Pro I then started cleaning it up and removed all the water I could possibly get out of it and let it dry for a few hours. When I plugged in the charger it was charging showing an orange light I then tried to turn it on and it turned on successfully but unfortunately it seems that the hard drive got damaged and I lost all my data and I was stupid to not back it up and all my homework, assignments for my exam next week got lost (fml), but the weird thing is that it keeps turning on and off by itself now, the hard drive is damaged so nothing really boots up besides it showing there isn't a Hard drive, how can I make it stop booting by itself WITHOUT having to take out the battery?. Thank you in advance!

@feattzen, Zen Khalil, Actually you should remove the battery ASAP, battery removal guide at 2nd link. Stop charging or powering up your MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2010, until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the computer. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the computer from the water damage as that could be your problem. A tear down link for your device Links #1 and 2 (disassembly guides) will enable you to get inside the computer to remove the damage/corrosion caused by the liquid. Use the 3rd link as a guide/instruction on how to clean/repair the device from liquid damage. After this you will be able to power on the Mac and see if further damage has to be addressed. I would take the board out and clean it with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol as this seems like a problem relating to the motherboard. Also, your hard drive and data are likely fine, the motherboard just probably doesn't recognize hard drives anymore. Cleaning the corrosion off of the board is a good start to get your Mac in working order again!
