Water damaged - turns on w/o charger, won't login

Hey folks. Had a new water bottle in my backpack, and I forgot to close it (muscle memory doesn't adjust quick I guess). Despite being in a separate compartment, it jostled around enough to get all up in that in that MacBook.

10 minutes after setting it in the backpack, I got home and got it out. Immediately shut it off and set it on the side that had the water on/in it (left side) so that it might drain. Powered on and it said that a USB port was using too much power. Powered off. Used Q-tips on all of the ports. Then I squeezed the body together a bit and more came out.

After getting out as much as I could, I plugged it in. No green light. Powered on, booted to login screen. No green light, toolbar showed charger plugged in, at 100%. Removed charger, showed 97%. Powered off and put back up on its side.

I ordered the iFixit Pro kit on Amazon with next-day shipping, so I'm unable to open it up for at least two days. I'm not feeling super optimistic.

Screen shows about 1/3 water damaged. No real issues, just looks like it does when water wicks through paper. Could definitely live with that if that's all it is.

Any words for me? Links? Inclinations?

Thanks so much!
