Digital flat iron reader

Good morning everyone. I hope all are well. I have a flat iron from the hair show i bought last year that broke a few months ago. The digital reader won't stay on unless i push in the spot on the outside of the iron right above it pretty hard and hold it. I took it to a ubreakifix store and the guy wasnt able to get it to stay on. I was just trying to see if anyone had any ideas so i can maybe help him. I know its just a flatiron but im a stylist and i really love this one. The company has an F bbb rating and wont answer my calls or emails so maybe you guys could help me out a little.Any helps appreciated.
