pass word trouble have forgotin it

ok so heres the deal my little niece gave this to my mom and it had a pattern lock on it and my mother could not remember it we tried for a couple days to get ahold of my niece with no luck so i thought i was being smart and i did a hard rest on it and found out that i aint so smart because now its saying verify your account at first i thought no problem i will get a hold of my niece and just get the info i need to verify account on it and she gave gave me 5 differnt gmail accounts and none of them is right she cant give me the right info because she has forgotin it so is there something i can do to get it going again for my mother
