Can I move a xbox HD to another xbox with out any problems.do not want to lose my music.

If your music is all you care about, open up the Xbox with the below guide, and remove the hard drive. If you have a SATA to USB adapter, use it to mount the HDD to your PC. If not, you'll need to get one or unplug the DVD drive and put the HDD in place (do that powered down). Once it's mounted, simply open up file explorer, find the drive called "user content" and access it. Your music should be there.

Why do you want to change the hard drive? Also, do you care about anything besides your music?

i have a bad laser in the one with the music and have a good laser in the other Xbox , just dont want to lose my music if i exchange the HD . in some i hear you have to reformat hd . just need to know yes or no ?
