After my original battery started draining faster than normal, I ordered a replacement from iFixit. Replacement was smooth, but the new battery discharges faster than the original battery. Any advice?

@fkmattern, floyd, Not positive, perhaps after a few charge/discharge cycles the battery may perform better. When you say battery draining faster than normal you must remember to consider all the Apps,etc. that may be running or running in the back ground. Have all your information ready, and contact Ifixit parts with your concern if you feel the battery is not functioning satisfactorily. Good luck. Hey Floyd: if you still have he original battery, look at the rating in Whr and mAh. Then look at the same info on your new battery. If your new battery has a lower rating, that is your reason for the faster drainage rate. A lot of places sell lower mAh batteries to be able to sell at lower cost. Phone batteries do the same thing. iFixit sells batteries at their rated capacity. Never less.

Back up. Your original battery started draining faster than normal. The replacement drains faster than normal. Doesn't sound like a problem with the replacement battery but a short allowing both batteries to drain faster.
