Phone won't turn on

Hey I have a Huawei ascend y530 but I haven't used it for about 8 months. I went to charge it to turn it on but it wouldn't charge (the red light flashed) it turned on once and it said "recovery image verify failed." And something else I didn't get to read. I really want to get this phone working as it has all the photos of my son as a new born and his first bath on there! Thank you.
