door latch won't release

Samsung vrt he door latch

The lock on our Samsung vrt he wont release. The door is in the open position. I can hold the door and run, but it won't latch. after the last cycle the lock light goes out then you hear the pop of the release, but it is still locked.

That's a pricy door lock. I'd pull it and use a multimeter to test it:
