Cracked screen for iPod Nano (6th generation) easy to fix for anyone?

I have one that has a cracked screen. I have seen online that you can fix it yourself but is that hard to do for just a common person? I don't have great technical skills fixing electronics routinely. I know replacing the battery on a 5th generation iPod Nano is almost near impossible without professional help so just wondering if I should stay away from doing this on my own too? Or if anyone can do it?

I found a screen replacement and toolkit on Amazon at:

https://www.amazon.com/Omnirepairs-Gener...

Just wondering if I should even purchase it and try this on my own. Or if I should stay away and let a professional do it for $40-50 or so...

Thanks!

Thanks Alex, but instead I was going to use this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSP-KBPw... because in buying that kit on Amazon, that's the video the seller recommended. But it said to use a heat gun or blow dryer? I don't have a heat gun so would a blow dryer work?

Which guide is better to use, yours or this video? And again, would I be able to do it on my own if I am just a common person? I don't have a lot of technical skills and am worried about that part?

Also, I looked at my iPod Nano 6th generation on the screen and it says Model MC525LL but the product to replace it on Amazon says only for Models A1366 and A1574? I don't understand?

I found out from the seller that it does include my Model MC525LL for the product, he just forgot to include it because it's a special edition.

But still trying to find out from you all if it's worth purchasing the accessory set to try and fix the screen on my own? Or is it going to be too difficult? Thanks!

Thanks Alex. Others from other forums said it could be too difficult to repair on my own. You disagree? I'm scared of ruining it more if so.

Hi!

It isn't as hard as you think to open up an iPod Nano 6... I mean, by the looks of it the only complicated part is separating the front panel from the case, but if you carefully follow this guide you should not have a problem.

Of cpurse you could pay someone to do it for you, but you have to take into consideration the cost... Why spend 70$ (20+50) when you could spare 1 hour of your time to do it yourself? At the same time, how do you expect to learn repairing electronics if you don't take that first, very important step of trying. Once you get the hang of it, there's no stopping you ;))
