My MacBook Pro screen isnt working.
My MacBook Pro retina 13" screen isnt working. When I turn the mb on the screen gets illuminated but keeps black screen. Sometimes (usually when I plugged out the HDMI cable) the image comes back and I can see my desktop with all the colours but it blinks and finally fade to white like its burning.
Also I can use the mb with an external display via hdmi and works as usual with my normal desktop.
I've tried the ram/pram keys combination and the SMC too and nothing works.
What could be the problem? Is it expensive to replace/fix it?

MacBook Pro 13" 2.4 GHz i5" (Late 2013)
So I should check first if the display cable between the LCD and the bottom base its okay. If not I should be prepared to change the whole LCD panel right?
I'm forever grateful for the help. Woz bless you.

Did you get your system wet at some point? I suspect you have corrosion on the display connector internally.

I dont remember ever having spill liquid in my mb.
I travel a lot and it did suffer from a couple of knocks but nothing important.
Here's a video of the malfunction of the MacBook.

As you see the image comes and goes with normal colours but frozen.
The brigthness button works if it says something.
Also when I plug it to an external device it works as usual.
Could it be a problem of the LCD cable?
I dont think its the card video as it seems to provide good images to the MB sometimes and normal to an external.
Sorry for the long response but Im thinking of fixing it by myself as the repair service would probably charged me 500-600.

Okay this is hard to believe..
I went to pick up the tool kit with my motorcycle. I left my macbook in the back pack of the motorcycle which I thought It was a little reckless cause it could get a little bumped while driving.
So I came home prepared to open the guts of my macbook, I first open my macbook and WORKS NORMALLY! the screen is working perfect. I think it could be the bumping in the motor what make it works cause 5 minutos before it wasnt working, and that could moved the lcd cable to make it works.
Do you still recomend me to open it up to see how's the cable looking?
Thanks anyway!

Ramon - Thats good! So it appears to be a loose connection then. Yes, you'll need to pop the bottom off to inspect things as I described below and reseat the connector.

how can I post images? I think the cable has been a pushed by the lower case. what do you recommend? should I not put the screws around this area to prevent this pushing?
