My apps are not giving me the same time as my phone.

When I send a snapchat, it immediately says it was sent one hour ago. My phone time is correct; I'm in the Central Time Zone. But my snapchat, as well as Facebook messenger app, show the wrong time. Any ideas what the problem may be? The phone was a hand-me-down from a friend. All I know is, it's an old phone and says "BLU" on it, and under the back side camera it says 8.0 Mega.

Update: as soon as I submitted this question it said it was submitted an hour ago.
