Why is my iPad not booting after battery placement?
Hello everyone,
My old iPad had a defect battery, so I replaced it with a new one. But the battery is not working properly. The iPad will only go on while charging, there comes a apple logo and after about 3 seconds it will turn off and it will restart. There is no battery logo in the boot loop, only the iPad logo. I can’t turn on the iPad without charging.
What I have tried:
- I checked if the battery was connected properly
- I have charged the ipad for hours and it is still stuck in de boot loop
- I have charged the iPad in the DFU mode with a wall charger (It looks that nothing happend)
- I have charged the iPad in the DFU mode on a computer
- I tried to restore the iPad in the DFU mode with a computer. iTunes recognise the iPad and when it tries to flash the firmware: “Waiting for the iPad
- I have charged the iPad in the recovery mode on a wall charger (after about 20 minutes it will automatically return to the boot loop)
- I have put the iPad in the freezer for maximum 2 hours. I charged the iPad immediately after the freezer, but it boots immediately.
I am considering to charge the battery directly from a power source. Can I use the originally iPad adapter and a stripped USB-cable? What can I do more?
EDIT 1: I measured the voltage of the battery, it was 3.7V.
