1 DSI failing to boot, blue light, blank screens
Hello,
Similar to my DS Lite, however.
I received this DSI as part of a bundle so I dont know its history, but would like to sort this issue.
The Unit accepts a charge (orange light) but will not fully turn on. I press the power button and I'm getting a Blue Light for a second, and then it switches off. No flash of either screen.
I'm fairly certain that theres no water damage, as the little square paper tab thing inside the battery compartment is still white...
Any ideas ?

Something to add, I removed the wifi board, and the blue light STAYS on, still nothing on screen though

Have you checked the upper screen ribbon cable? Are you 1000000% certain that the battery is good? Was the battery depleted when you first got it or did it seem like the console wasn't used for a very long time?

Thats my next move, but the tiny philips screws on the motherboard are a challenge for me to remove, without the correct PH00 driver... I dont want to use a flat head to risk damage to the head.... Battery is fine, as I have tested a working battery from another DSI.

Sorry 'bout the long link :)) this is what I am using for most my electronic repair jobs. It's really practical, contains only the most basic small bits that you'll need and does not cost a fortune.
