Dsiplay turned white. On reboot Apple logo was made of pink lines

The progress bar was also pink (instead of its usual gray). After that portion of boot-up, whole screen is white. Prior to this happening, I had many instances where the area near the hinge on lower unit got EXTREMELY hot. It was pretty warm when it finally crapped out.

Also, not sure this is the exact model. It is a 15" MBP, but I don't remember how long I've actually had it. At least 5 years.
