Screen will not display after turning on.

So... I've been kind of in a weird spot lately, and not even the techs in my area know what to do about it. A few weeks ago I was using my phone and routinely let the battery fully discharge before fully charging it back up, well, being in my job field its gotten banged up a bit over the lifespan of the phone, and now it won't display at all for normal operations. I can get the screen to show for charging purposes while off, and the loading screens work just fine on start-up, but as soon as it gets past the last start-up logo, nothing, the screen stays black even though I get vibrational feedback that the phone is on (as well as sound). What the ... is going with my phone and how easy is it to fix? Also, i've done the hard and soft reset button trick and nothing.
