if the file is not confidential, you can try to google, "open damaged pdf online"
Normally the procedure is
Step 1: upload the corrupt pdf file to the online server.
Step 2: Let the server process the uploaded pdf.
Step 3: Server will provide a link to download the file. (Take caution on some fakes, if it generate .exe files, abort it and do not click open.) (Best to have antivirus)

Sometimes even manuals and guides can't assist. I usually recover pdf file with the help of a cup of coffee, Google, and my brain. That's the things I have for now
