Have I bricked my phone?

Hey guys, I attempted to change a iPhone 7 screen. Unfortunately it did not go well and I snapped the home button cable.☹️

I have since purchased a second hand phone and transferred all my data. I wanted to sell the iPhone 7 as spares or repairs so restored the phone back to factory forgetting that it would wipe of assistive touch now I can't get passed the hello screen. Any help

Would be awesome as I was hoping to try and recoupe some money. Thanks

You need to bring it to apple to get a screen replacement through them.

The only other option would need very high skill and that would be to solder the tiny traces in the ribbon cable back together.

No you're fine---just long press to slide to power off, and then reboot. The phone will boot with 'choose language' and you should be able to click through the menu and set up assistive touch. Hello

If Apple detects that the terminal is damaged, they may refuse to repair it. Then I would have to pay 50% (approximate) of the value of a new one to repair the home button (changed the terminal) but if it can hide it, the repair could be cheap. Apple changes the entire front, camera, headset, sensors, screen and home as the only piece. If it does not detect that it was tampered with, it will change the screen without problems.

Another option if the terminal is very manipulated is to wet it. Apple will make you pay an amount (approximately 50%), but they will change the terminal without complaining much.

Because you are basically asking him to commit fraud by wetting his phone if option 1 doesnt work. Please correct me if I read it wrong.

Fraud? I see a solution. If apple does not give the tools to repair something, you should look for them. If it were possible to repair the button in another way, tell it.

While apple keeps putting obstacles, we will put solutions.

If the problem was repairable or irreparable because of the OP. I would not recommend this.

We are here to solve things. Not to make people buy a new phone or throw it in the trash for not being able to change / repair a button! a button that has made it essential for you to buy a new phone when it breaks or break it in a repair. This is a fraud for me.
