Weird particular issue with calls on Note 5

Okay here's my issue. I have a Note 5 and I'm having calling issues but it's only in certain cases and I'll explain. It's when I call certain people or they call me.

if I call my wife or she calls me there are no issues with her hearing me. No static, no breaking voice etc. She has an older Android.

when I call my boss or he calls me, he says my voice breaks up and he can't hear me. Same thing with my friend when he called me yesterday. He said he had trouble hearing me. Please note they both have iPhone X. I've had others call me or I call them and they have no issues with the other party hearing me. Spoke with my mom the other day and she could hear me loud and clear and never said my call was breaking up. Is my lower mic going out? Is it located on my charger port and can it be repaired without taking my whole lcd off?

Based off what your saying, it seems like your having service issues with Iphone X's. The one thing you can test is to use your headphones/ear pods and see if that corrects the issue. If not, then the issue is most likely with them, not you.

Okay so here's an update. I used my Samsung headphones with the mic and I'm experiencing the same issue. It's frustrating. My boss can hear me for awhile but then he says I'm cutting out. However everyone else like friends and family members can hear me without issue.

If it has not happened already I would encourage your boss to update his iOS on the phone. There were some noted issues upon the release of the device which led to several iOS updates.

Since the your phone works with everyone else and failed the headphone test, then it's an issue between the two devices. The other option would be to address this issue with the carrier and seek assistance as to why you're having this issue specifically with Iphone X's.

I am having the same issue, only in the last few months, and it is a number of callers, not just 1 or 2,

always have about 2 to 3 bars. I was at first blaming them, but not so now.
