Red light blinking accompanied by a ticking noise

So I actually have a 65 inch Samsung LCD TV. I recently had the problem where, SURPRISE, it won't turn on. All it would do is flash the red light in a steady uninterrupted fashion and it has a ticking noise like an old wall clock. I tried replacing the power supply board as suggested by others but instead of fixing the problem it made it so that the red light turned off, the ticking went away, and the tv remained unresponsive. I'm curious if I should move onto replacing the other board behind the panel? I'm assuming it is the video board?
