Replaced logic board and now the device will not charge
I received an iPad mini from an aunt who had broke the LCD + Digitiser. I replaced those but the digitiser did not recognise touches, I realised that the connector was missing pins on the logic board so I bought an iPad mini with a cracked screen on eBay.
I replaced the cracked screen with the ones that I bought and it worked perfect, but the case was bent really bad so I decided to move the logic board from the working iPad mini into the case of my broken iPad mini.
I done this earlier today and I was extra careful, and thought everything went smoothly, after closing everything up I decided to try the charger, but nothing. No charging indicator or noise. Im not sure what the issue is, I didn't rip the flex or solder points as I was extra careful, but it just doesn't recognise the charger when inserted and doesn't take on any charge.
I haven't opened it up again to have a look but are there any suggestions as to what I should double check when I do?
edit* Okay, some more info I've discovered since I posted this.
- 99% of the cables + wall adapter combinations I have tried will not work (iPad displays the not certified message), even the official out of the box Apple ones
- iPad charges with only 1 or 2 cables out of the pile that I had tried
- From the cables that do work, they dont work both sides (meaning if I put it in and it doesn't recognise the charge I have to turn it around to the other side and it'll work
- The 1 or 2 cables that I have got to work are unofficial apple ones
