I would like to upgrade the memory modules in the iMac 27" quad core i7, from the basic 4 gb (2 X 2gb modules) of ram to the maximum of 16gb (4 x 4gb modules).
Is there a "How to" step by step available anywhere? Is this even possible as a DIY project?

Check the ifixit repair guides. should be the same as the core 2 duo 27"

All of those "guides" or fixit manuals refer to older model core 2 duo machines. I was hoping to find something specific to the Quad core i7 27" model, since it's logical that with the new technology, that Apple might need to re-configure other components in the new machines. But Thanks for the time and effort to reply.
