MacBook Pro core 2 duo windows partition stuck in vista update looop

Hi

I have a Macbook Pro 15 core 2 duo laptop which went into automatic update for vista when I was using the windows partition, it got to stage 3 0% downloaded then stuck in a never ending loop. I have tried all the various safety modes and booting from vista disk options that have worked for pc users with this problem, but no luck.

I am able to use Mac just now, and am happy to reinstall the partition if I can download the pictures and posters that I have made in the windows partition.

I have very limited computer knowledge but have manage to follow IFix it suggestions in the past and am happy to try any suggestions!

I'm not certain if what I'm suggesting will work but I know I can read a USB drive formatted for Windows and copy data from it. Won't work the other way. See if you can navigate your Vista partition from OS10 and if so try to drag and drop the files you want to the Mac partition. You could then format the Vista partition and reinstall Vista. Good luck

I was just about to give up, after having Macbook Pro issues too recently and just got that expensively fixed. I'll buy a stick tomorrow and see if that works!
