Black screen, no beeping, regular blinking

I have a Compaq F700 PC laptop, and when I last powered on my computer it displayed a black screen, all lights are functional,and it goes to the startup screen but only allows Esc (startup message) or F2 startup check, all other functions don't work, and after that the screen goes black
