iPhone 4 keeps restarting while charging and mute after restart

Hello all,

My iPhone 4 restarts while charging and becomes mute/silent upon restart.

I can't hear incoming call sounds I mean, the other side can hear my voice but I can't hear their voice for about 4 minute after that everything become normal, can use my phone normally.

About 3 months ago while changing my phone battery, volume and silent button ribbon was broken and never repaired it as I can alternatively use software to operate them.

There was also a problem my phone won't charge if plugged in charger. I cleaned the charging port and problem was solved.

But can't figure out why its restart while charging and become mute after every reboot. Any help will be appreciated

Try restoring the phone. You can do this by plugging the phone in to a computer that has iTunes installed and click restore.

Note that restore will wipe all data on the phone so make an iTunes backup before hand.

You can alternatively restore the phone using 3uToolsif iTunes does not work out for you.

There would be some reasons why this is happening possibly if I would be at this situation my first step would be deasmeble it and try changing charging flex then ringer / speaker and volume flex too. Do it one by one after that if doesn’t help then might be problem with sound Ic of mother board which needs to be repair

As you know that it's outdated phone and repairs cost a lot here in bangladesh also parts aren't available here, so may be will try your suggestion. Still using this phone just like it and using for long time :)
